On 4 October, 2021, students of the second and third year of Medical Biology, together with – Prof. Joanna Czarnecka – Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Prof. Małgorzata Wójcik – Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, and Dr. Kamila Kupisz – the Medical Biology supervisor, went on an excursion to Kazimierz Dolny. The trip was an opportunity to show foreign students the beauty of our region and encourage them to explore the sites on or around Lublin. Moreover, the meeting was a continuation of mutual integration of the students after a long period of pandemic isolation.
The program included sightseeing tour of Kazimierz Dolny, a visit to the Korzeniowy Dół gorge that is a very picturesque site near the village, the Góra Trzech Krzyży – a mountain with a magnificent view on the market square, and the ruins of the old Castle with a very beautiful view on Wisła river and surrounding hills.
Of course, there was no shortage of time to relax over tea or delicious ice-cream and to visit the stalls to buy souvenirs.
The trip provided interesting impressions and memories. Everybody had to admit that Kazimierz Dolny is one of the most picturesque villages in all of Poland.
