On 11th December 2024, for the sixth time, an integrative event "Christmas all around the World" took place at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology.
During the meeting students of Medical Biology and Molecular Biology presented the traditions and customs of Christmas and New Year in Ukraine - Tetiana and in Poland - Maria. Lamiae also gave an inspiring presentation about Morocco, where she comes from. Everyone enjoyed the game "Crocodile" and the beautiful dance performed by Gopika. The highlight of the meeting was the making of Christmas cards. These will all be sold at the Christmas market with the proceeds going to charity.
We were pleased to welcome the Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences - Prof. Grzegorz Janusz, the Vice-Director of the INB - Prof. Joanna Jakubowicz-Gil, the Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology - Prof. Anna Matuszewska and the former Vice-Dean for Student Affairs - Prof. Małgorzata Wójcik. Also present were members of the teaching staff, staff of the Dean's Office, year tutors and a member of the English Language Recruitment Team and the Welcome Centre.
The meeting was organised by the Student Council of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology and international students of Medical Biology and Molecular Biology with the support of the Faculty authorities, the Dean - Prof. Anna Matuszewska and the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs - Prof. Małgorzata Marczak.
