"Christmas around the world"
On 18 December 2019, for the second time, an integrative meeting entitled "Christmas all around the World" was held for students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology. The Christmas party was organized to put together Polish- and English-speaking students of our Faculty, to learn Christmas traditions and customs presented by students from Poland, Ecuador, Tanzania, and Taiwan. The foreign students had also the opportunity to savor the taste of traditional Polish Christmas Eve dishes, including dumplings with cabbage prepared by the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs herself.
The meeting was organized by Students’ Council and foreign students under supervision of Prof. Małgorzata Wójcik – Vice-Dean for Student Affairs. It was our pleasure to host Prof. Joanna Czarnecka – Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Anna Jarosz-Wilkołazka – Director of the Institute of Biological Sciences, Prof. Agnieszka Szuster-Ciesielska – Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Monika Marek-Kozaczuk – a supervisor of foreign students, Dr. Robert Zubel. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ewelina Panas – Coordinator for Internationalization of Education of UMCS. We had a great fun and are looking forward to meeting again next year!
