The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology's Student Scientific Clubs Day took place again on 13 November. It's a fantastic opportunity for students who have just started their studies to learn more about the different activities offered by our Students' Council and Student Scientific Clubs, as well as the opportunities and prospects for developing scientific interests and making friends by joining the SSC.
We were delighted to welcome the Vice-Chancellor of UMCS, Prof. Dorota Kołodyńska, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Dr Beata Cristóvão, and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Dr Konrad Terpiłowski.
Scientific clubs presented their activities at stands and in a parallel lecture session. Everyone who came was able to find out about the history of the clubs and their current activities, share their experiences and sign up for the club that inspired them most.
The grand finale of this year's Day of Student Science Clubs was the 'Pokemon or Chemical Compound' competition, hosted by Dr Artur Nowak.
We'd like to thank everyone who took part in the event and helped to make it happen! We hope the enthusiasm and energy will stay with us for a long time!
