About Us

The main tasks of the International Cooperation Center include supporting the academic community in the following areas:

  1. consultation in applying for international research projects and assistance in obtaining external funds for international undertakings in the field of basic research, including from the Framework Programs of the European Commission, international programs of NCN, NCBR, NAWA and others;
  2. supporting the process of internationalization of scientific staff: Research in Lublin program, running Welcome Center for Foreign Academics;
  3. handling the HR Excellence award at UMCS;
  4. supporting the implementation of international projects/grants/fellowships/etc.;
  5. handling business trips abroad of University employees, students and doctoral students, as well as arrivals of foreign guests;
  6. handling projects and development undertakings in the area of internationalization of UMCS research;
  7. handling the international agreements of UMCS;
  8. implementation of tasks related to the conclusion of contracts based on the activities of the Center;
  9. initiating information activities in the area of the Center's activities.

The Center also deals with the organization of foreign delegations of University authorities, maintaining and developing cooperation with foreign partners and other tasks assigned by University authorities in the field of international cooperation.

We represent UMCS in the IROS Forum - an organization of units dealing with international cooperation at universities in Poland.
