In connection with the opening of the UMCS Welcome Centre on 18 May this year. Mateusz Grochowski, President of the Students' Parliament of the Republic of Poland, visited the new facility located on the university's campus map.
The UMCS Welcome Centre is the first point of contact for foreign students who have come to our university to study at the largest university in eastern Poland. The Centre thus supports the internationalisation of the university as a whole.
The Centre's team introduced the President of the PSRP to the range of activities that Maria Curie-Skłodowska University carries out through the Welcome Centre for foreign students and students from Poland.
- I am glad that a place has been created at the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin where foreign students will be taken care of. Given that 10% of the university's students are from abroad, it was a very good decision to create the UMCS Welcome Centre, which offers support to this group - even before they arrive at the university. The Centre will create activities with them to integrate into the UMCS community once they are physically in Lublin and will provide assistance in everyday matters - stressed Mateusz Grochowski, President of the Student Parliament of the Republic of Poland.
The Welcome Centre is located in the premises of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Main Library located at 11 Idziego Radziszewskiego Street.
