On 24 May 2023, meetings under the motto 'Language without borders' were organised at the Prywatne Szkoły im. Królowej Jadwigi w Lublinie and consisted of a series of language and culture workshops for pupils of different ages. The meeting with young people was attended by International Relations students: Benjamin Ndahiriwe from Rwanda and Malahat Eynalizade from Azerbaijan.
The meeting was another event organised under the Outreach Programme for High Schools formula. The aim of the 'Language without borders' workshops, which will be held until the end of the academic year as part of the Welcome to Poland NAWA project, is the intercultural integration of foreign students studying at our University and the promotion of the English-language education on offer at UMCS among secondary school students. The meetings are held as part of the Welcome to Poland - 'UMCS 4 All' project financed by the Polish National Academic Exchange Agency.
The project is managed by Dr Ewelina Panas, the Rector's Proxy for the Internationalisation of Education.
