On 22 May 2023, another workshop led by international students of the UMCS was held for secondary and primary school students.
This time, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University international student Everlyn Kahinga and Ugandan doctoral student Robert Ainebyona visited XXX Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. ks. Jana Twardowskiego as part of a workshop entitled 'Languages without borders'.
The meeting was another event organised under the formula of the Outreach Programme for High Schools. The aim of the workshop is the intercultural integration of foreign students studying at our University and the promotion of the English-language education on offer at UMCS among secondary school students. The meetings are held as part of the Welcome to Poland - 'UMCS 4 All' project financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
The meetings with young people consisted of dual language and cultural workshops for three classes. These were carried out by Everlyn Kahinga, a Kenyan-born International Relations student, and Robert Ainebyona, a Ugandan-born doctoral student at the UMCS Doctoral School of Social Sciences and also a member of the Welcome Centre team.
