Welcome Center

On April 8, 2024, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin joined the EURAXESS - Researchers in Motionnetwork, which has been operating since 2004. It involves over 1500 individuals from 650 organizations in 43 countries.

The membership of Polish entities in EURAXESS aims to build a network supporting scientists coming to Europe and conducting research in various European institutions, both within the country and at the European Union level. EURAXESS members exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices to expand and professionalize their activities. Membership in the network enables participation in European initiatives, projects, events, and the establishment of contacts with the international EURAXESS community.

EURAXESS means:

• The European portal containing the largest database of job offers and grants for researchers, career development tools, and building scientific cooperation.
• National portals of EURAXESS member states providing information on formal matters related to arrival and life in a given country, national grants and research funding programs, as well as career development and mobility-related events.
• Over 670 EURAXESS centers offering personalized support to researchers and their families regarding arrival, stay, and work in a particular country, organizing various events for foreign scientists. They also provide information to institutions hosting researchers.
• 9 EURAXESS points located outside Europe, strengthening scientific cooperation between Europe and the world and integrating European scientists working on other continents.

EURAXESS OFFERS TO DOCTORAL STUDENTS AND RESEARCHERS:

• A database of job offers and grants in European institutions and other regions of the world. Current grant and scholarship opportunities are published monthly in newsletter form:
  • European EURAXESS database
  • Job and research funding opportunities in Poland
• Tools, training, mentoring, and guides supporting career planning and development in various sectors.
• Personalized support on formal and administrative matters related to arrival and stay in EURAXESS member countries:
  • for those leaving Poland
  • for those coming to Poland
• Networking opportunities and collaboration building.

EURAXESS OFFERS TO HOST INSTITUTIONS FOR DOCTORAL STUDENTS AND RESEARCHERS:

• Free posting of announcements about scientific job offers and scholarships, as well as a database of CVs of scientists (for registered users).
• Support in the field of employment and organization of the stay of foreign scientists in Poland.
• Information on the European human resources strategy for researchers and the associated Human Resources Excellence in Research award.
• Career development tools for research staff and doctoral students.
