Representatives of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University of Lublin and the City of Lublin last week attended the EUniverCities event network meeting in Innsbruck.
Our university was represented by dr Ewelina Panas, UMCS Rector's Proxy for Internationalization of Education, Kavindi Jayawickreme from the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of UMCS. The City of Lublin was represented by Wiktoria Herun, head of the Academic Support Desk at the City Hall's Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship.
The three-day event approached the topic of "Sustainable Cities" through the prism of cooperation between cities and universities, and in addition to the presentation of local best practices, the challenges and opportunities in various thematic clusters on sustainable urban development were discussed, among other topics.
On the part of Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie the project is coordinated by International Cooperation Center.
