Centrum Kultury Studenckiej Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego w Poznaniu was established in 2010. The foundation of Centrum’s activities was the art of existing and significant for the university groups such as: Zespół Pieśni i Tańca „Łany”, Zespół Trębaczy Myśliwskich „Venator” and Chór Akademicki „Coro Da Camera”.
During its life Centrum appointed new creative groups: Orkiestra Uniwersytecka Centrum Kultury Studenckiej Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego w Poznaniu and Scena Muzyczna Teatr PULS.
As a part of CKS operate: Wielkopolski Klub Tańców Polskich and Zespół Pieśni i Tańca “Łaniki”.
CKS promotes culture not only within the academic community by presenting, among others, cyclical concerts of its formations, but also it creates art projects and cultural events for outside audiences. Space for those activities is provided by the representational auditorium of the university, which transforms into Scena Kolegium Rungego.
Present and past students of Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Poznaniu and other universities realize their artistic ideas as a part of CKS, solo and in groups and formations. Many of them have art school diplomas, others train their skills in art schools. Formations and groups brought together in CKS present professional programs performing for the student audience and at concerts in Poland and abroad.
Our artists take part in competitions and earn the highest awards. ZTM Venator is an eleven-times Poland Champion in various categories, such as: O Róg Wojskiego and Hejnał Myśliwski. Wielkopolski Klub Tańców Polskich have also won the Polish Champion title many times in various dance categories, bringing back medals from country-wide contests. The young team of Orkiestra uniwersytecka also competed and was awarded a medal and many diplomas.
Our Chór Akademicki Coro Da Camera also accumulated many diplomas and awards in country-wide and international contests.
The centennial of Akademickie Studia Rolniczo-Leśne was also the tenth anniversary of Centrum Kultury Studenckiej life. A decade of our operations consists of ten Gala Concerts connected every year with the day of the University's patron Count August Cieszkowski, the founder of the University.
The Gala Concerts is one of our constant, yearly, representational art projects.
Centrum Kultury Studenckiej is trying to provide its pupils with the best conditions for work with its infrastructure and by employing professional instructors.
