It all started with a question about the shape of contemporary student culture in Poland. In collaboration with the National Culture Center we conducted a research among the students of Polish universities. The research was concerned with student’s activities in the field of culture. It also helped to recognized what is the state of academic culture entities.
The research was conducted in multiple stages. The first stage was an analysis of currently operating academic culture entities. Next stage consisted of quantitative research, conducted via CAWI method, where students were asked to fill a survey questionnaire. The second stage also included qualitative research conducted through focus group interviews. 1633 people took part in the research. The diagnosis of the directions in which student culture is developing in Poland has been supplemented by an analysis of students’ videoblogs published by them on the YouTube platform as well as in-depth phone interviews with representatives of all academic culture entities in Poland.
The result of conducted research is the “Directions of student culture development in Poland diagnosis” report.
