The 30th Jubilee Session of the Permanent European Conference for the Study of the Rural Landscapes, under the theme: BORDERSCAPES – PAST AND FUTURE in 2024 will be held in Poland in two locations: Lublin and Zamość. It will be hosted by the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (about UMCS).
The Conference brings together geographers, historians, landscape architects, archeologists, ethnographers, ecologists, rural planners, landscape managers and all other scholars interested in European landscapes. The Conference provides a perfect occasion for meeting colleagues from all over Europe and getting informed about various aspects of and trends in European landscape research, as well as initiating new collaborative projects. In addition to paper sessions, poster presentations and plenary sessions, the conference will include full-day fieldtrips, offering PECSRL participants a wide knowledge of the borderscapes around the Polish-Ukrainian border, in the Polish part of the Roztocze region.
