Art Exhibition: Talha Bin Shams "The People of Bangladesh"

As part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) and the UMCS Alumni Reunion, a meeting of graduates from the Faculty of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (Wydział Filologiczny) took place on October 5th. In the hall outside the auditorium, attendees had the opportunity to admire an exhibition of paintings titled "The People of Bangladesh" by Talha Bin Shams, our good friend and a graduate of the English-language master's program in Intercultural Communication in Education and the Workplace.

Talha Bin Shams was born in Sayedpur, a town in the northern part of Bangladesh. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts, majoring in painting and graphic design from UODA in Bangladesh. He then pursued his first postgraduate studies in Social Sciences at the University of Dhaka. Currently, he lives in Poland, where he earned his MA degree in “Intercultural Communication in Education and the Workplace” from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 2021. Talha works in painting, graphics, illustration, and fashion design. He has showcased Bangladeshi folk culture and folk art through his artwork at numerous exhibitions in both Poland and Bangladesh.
