NAWA STER 2024

As of January 1, 2025, the Doctoral Schools at UMCS are implementing a project called “International Scientific and Research Network."  The project has received funding from the National Academic Exchange Agency under the STER NAWA Program - Internationalization of Doctoral Schools - edition 2024.

 


The main goal of the project is to increase the level of internationalization of doctoral schools.

Additional goals are to support the international activity of doctoral students, encourage interdisciplinary research and promote innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to research, increase the international mobility of doctoral students, and improve the quality of education and the level of scientific research.

Financial support of PLN 1,830,311.90 for 3 years under the project “ International Scientific and Research Network ” will be used by the Doctoral Schools of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University to implement the following activities:

1. Scholarship for the best foreign doctoral students.

2. Internships of doctoral students in foreign scientific and artistic institutions.

3. Development of activities related to internationalization “at home”, organization of stays of foreign scholars, International Summer School and its follow-up symposia, mentoring program and workshops on soft skills.

4. Activities related to the development of international cooperation of doctoral schools.

5. Activities related to attracting foreign doctoral students.

6. Activities related to the monitoring and evaluation of the Project's goals and results, including the progress and academic achievements of the doctoral students included in the Project.
