Currently, in times of a pandemic and social distance, we can assign it even more recent content. The exhibition of Lech Mazurek will present several dozen graphic works in the inkjet printing technique. They will show the faces of specific people, recognizable and anonymous, sometimes hybrid. Fizis, image: an authentic person or a mask? To what extent is today's human a real person, and to what extent is an avatar and a projection of its own or the image of others? Or maybe the embodiment of an idea, or a symbol of the times?
Dr. Lech Mazurek graduated from the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He obtained a diploma in the studio of Publishing Graphics of prof. Lech Majewski. He defended his doctorate in 2017 at the Faculty of Science and Technology MCSU in Lublin. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, and since 2010 he has been a member of the Open Studio Association in Lublin. Currently, he works at the Department of Graphic Design at the Faculty of Arts at MCSU in Lublin. He creates artistic and design graphics, posters and paintings. He is the co-founder and curator of the Lublin International Poster Biennale and PrintON - International Graphic and Poster Meeting. Author of 12 individual exhibitions and participant of over 60 collective exhibitions and competitions (including Australia, China, Czech Republic, South Korea, Lithuania, Sweden, Tunisia, USA, Great Britain).
