The exhibition opening will be held on October 14th, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Centrum Spotkania Kultur (Aleja Kultur -1). The exhibition will be open until October 30, 2022. Entry is free.
The exhibition was prepared by the Institute of Fine Arts as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of art faculties at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. This is the most complete display to date of the creative achievements of the artists who are the scientific and didactic staff of the Institute.
A staff extremely diverse in terms of the artistic disciplines and creative attitudes they represent, whose rank is best evidenced by the "A" scientific category awarded for the third time in a row in the just-completed evaluation of science and artistic creativity of Polish universities.
The exhibition will consist of two parts. The first part, in the Galeria Wystaw Czasowych -1, will present works by teaching artists from the Department of Painting and Drawing and the Department of Intermedia. Its curators are dr hab. szt. Slawomir Toman, prof. UMCS, and dr hab. szt. Robert Kuśmirowski, prof. UMCS.
The second part of the exhibition at the City Project-1 Gallery, curated by prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Szymanowicz, will feature works by teaching artists from the Department of Printmaking, the Department of Design and Flat Printing, the Department of Digital Media and the Department of Sculpture and Ceramics.
The event is held under the honorary patronage of His Magnificence the Rector of UMCS in Lublin.
