Przedstawiciele Instytutu Nauk o Komunikacji Społecznej i Mediach UMCS wzięli udział w odbywającej się 13-15 marca w Warszawie dorocznej regionalnej konferencji International Communication Association (ICA) pod hasłem „Human Tech Transition: Crises in Mediatized Politics, Society & Economy”.

Wyniki swoich badań przedstawili:

• dr hab. Katarzyna Kopecka-Piech, prof. UMCS (Absolutely for or absolutely against. Polarized views of the pandemic reality and the role of social media in shaping them),

• dr hab. Ewa Nowak-Teter, prof. UMCS (New media-mediatized public opinion),

• dr hab. Jakub Nowak, prof. UMCS (Privacy, media practices, and digital citizenship in the age of platforms),

• dr Ilona Dąbrowska (Deepfake technology as a disinformation tool for the Russian invasion of Ukraine),

• dr Mateusz Sobiech (I have a sick note. Gamification and new technologies in the context of physical activity during PE lessons) oraz

• doktorantka mgr Anna Yezhova (The role of Russian media and propaganda in the information environment of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region).
