Prof. Dave Jervis has more than thirty years teaching experience in the United States, Germany, Croatia, and Poland. Credentials include a Ph.D. in Political Science, two-year tenure with the American Embassy in Germany, two Fulbright Scholar awards, and a number of publications.
For more than 7 years prof. Jervis taught graduate and undergraduate courses in American foreign policy, security studies, comparative foreign policy, and genocides at UMCS. Assist MA and PhD students with theses; engage in scholarly research, focusing largely on the Middle East and U.S. policy toward that region; help Polish-speaking colleagues prepare manuscripts for publication in English-language journals.
