Historian, philosopher and methodologist of science, author of 12 monographs and over 250 scientific publications.
For half a century, he has been associated with UMCS, from 1999 to 2005, he served as Vice-Rector of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and is currently a member of the University Council (2018-2024). He was responsible for organizing the 60th anniversary of UMCS and also directs the work for the 80th anniversary of the University.
Organizer of the Congress of Rectors of European Universities titled "Higher Education for United Europe" on the occasion of the enlargement of the European Union. Expert and advisor in many economic and local government initiatives, including the development strategy of the Lublin region and the city of Lublin. Leader of the "Akademickość" team, which prepared the Lublin 2030 Strategy.
He combines his scientific and academic career with engagement in business and non-governmental organizations.
