With great grief and unspeakable sadness, we share the information about the death of our Dear Colleague, Leszek Rymczuk.
Artist, sculptor, long-term employee of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, educator of many generations of young art adepts.
Born in 1959 in Lublin. He studied at the UMCS Institute of Artistic Education in Lublin, obtaining a diploma in the sculpture studio of prof. Sławomir Mieleszko. An employee of UMCS in Lublin since 1986. In 1992, he was employed as an assistant in the Department of Monumental Sculpture, then as a senior lecturer at the Sculpture and Glass Techniques studio of the Intermedia and Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Art. His artistic output includes 6 individual and 30 collective exhibitions including: outdoor sculptures, such as "Koziołek Zdrój" - Lublin, Windsor in Canada, the fountain "Wieża Ciśnień" - Lublin. A long-time representative of the employees of the Art Department at the ZNP UMCS.
The funeral ceremonies will take place in the cemetery chapel at Lipowa Street in Lublin on 9th of November, 2020 (Monday) at 15:00
