Academic Center of Culture "Chatka Żaka" and the Faculty of Arts organized animation showsas a part of the O!PLa Animation Festival.
Like every year, the O!PL Festival is an amazing mix of techniques, styles and emotions, showing what is best in contemporary Polish animation. This time the festival visited a record number of over 100 cities throughout Poland. It was a real marathon with the latest Polish animation, both for adults and children.
The festival's goal is to try to regain contact and (build) relationships between Polish viewers (at any age!) And Polish author's animation, as well as to promote, at home and abroad, one of the most important areas of Polish art.
On 27th of February, animated film screenings took place in the small hall of the Media and Artistic Incubator, while on 6th of March the following parts of the Main Competition of the O!PLA Festival could be seen at the Art Faculty of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University.
After each screening voting for the best film took place.
The author of one of the animations qualified for the festival is our student, Jerzy Górski. Congratulations!
