"Lublin is a very important place for me, here I work, here I studied, therefore an exhibition in this city is very special for me. Knowing about the upcoming date of the exhibition, I had one very big problem that I had been struggling with for over a year. A creative block. I stopped creating new things and during that time I didn't make any new prints.
After an intense creative year and having created a series of monumental prints combining technology with tradition, a crisis had hit me. Everything I was doing wasn't good enough for me, so I abandoned it. I wanted to create something new and break away from what I had already created. It was very hard for me as an artist, I felt I had stopped. Apparently, one of the ways of dealing with a crisis is a deadline, and this exhibition at Pracownia Otwarta Gallery is such a deadline. Therefore, I decided to act and the result of this action is a series of mini prints. The exhibition will feature my old works and 12 mini-prints, which have become a kind of exercise on creative blockage."
