On 15th of November, 2019 at 16:30 at the Center for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, the vernissage of the jubilee exhibition of prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Szymanowicz "Engramy" took place. The exhibition is organised in connection with the 30th anniversary of his atistic work.
During the opening of His Magnificence Rector of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, prof. dr hab. Stanisław Michałowski honoured Krzysztof Szymanowicz with a commemorative statuette of Maria Curie-Skłodowska, designed on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of our University. Congratulations were also expressed by the Lublin voivode and the president of the Lublin region of the Association of Polish Artists.
The exhibition presents not only linocuts, but also paintings by Krzysztof Szymanowicz. It is worth remembering that it was in this field that Professor Szymanowicz began his adventure with art. In CSK we may see graphics characteristic for the professor, consisting of meticulous points. You can also be surprised by painting on canvas in bright, highly saturated colours.
The director has been associated with the Faculty from almost the beginning of its existence, even back at the time when it was called the Institute of Artistic Education.
The success of Krzysztof Szymanowicz is evidenced not only by awarded prizes and great works, but also by the numerous presence of guests at the vernissage such as the city and university authorities, befriended lecturers from our and other universities, as well as many students who value the director as an artist and mentor.
