Dr Konrad Czernichowski from the Department of the World Economy and European Integration together with Ms. Joyce Meshack Magere, an Erasmus student from Tanzania, visited I LO im. Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej in Ryki.
They presented one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, namely "Clean Water and Sanitation". They showed pictures from Cameroon and Tanzania and discussed possible economic solutions on how to enable access to clean water to more people. Students also shared their ideas.
The lecture was followed by a short quiz and the presentation of the educational offer of UMCS, with a special consideration of the programme "International Economic Relations".
Nine best students picked prizes sponsored by the University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska in Lublin (a mascot, a UMCS T-shirt, chocolates, pens, among others). The winner of the contest was Sebastian Ostałowski.
