At the end of the first semester, Dr. Konrad Czernichowski together with Erasmus students (Joyce Meshack Magere, Robert Elias and Josephat Kimbage) went to Tanga in eastern Tanzania to promote the Business Analytics and Data Science programme at one of the 10 best secondary schools in the country – St. Christina Secondary School (girls' school). The first point of the program was the presentation of the "Smart Switch", which the students constructed under the supervision of a physics teacher. Then, PowerPoint presentations and videos about UMCS were displayed in a packed auditorium. Students recalled their short, one-semester stay at the Faculty of Economics of UMCS with extraordinary enthusiasm. Girls received brochures and company pens.
