On Thursday, November 9th, 4 pm CET, ATHENA Career Days Event kicked-off with the first panel discussion which was focused on the job market in Lublin, Siegen, and Vilnius. Representing the UMCS international students community was Innocent Novart, an international student from Tanzania studying MA Data Science at the Faculty of Economics. Innocent Novart graduated from the College of Engineering and Technology at University of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania in 2020, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Geomatics. In 2022, he received the Stefan Banach Scholarship from the Polish National Agency for academic exchange (NAWA) to study masters in Data Science in the Faculty of Economics at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin – Poland. Currently, he is writing his Magister thesis focused on the applications of artificial intelligence for crop yield prediction under the support and supervision of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Modelling at Maria Curie Sklodowska University.

The ATHENA Career Days Event is hosted to provide a month full of opportunities to boost employability and get the students ready for working life. Prepared for students are the 3-part series of online panel discussions and the grand finale ATHENA Career Fair online event where students will directly get in touch with companies from partner countries.
