The UMCS European Documentation Center, based at the Institute of Political Sciences and Administration has received funding for the implementation of a series of European workshops entitled The European Green Deal. The workshops will be dedicated to young people in the Lubelskie Voivodeship for The project implemented in cooperation with the EC Regional Representation in Poland (based on order 183/2020 / SI2.839813) will strengthen civic education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its main aim is to encourage young Poles (at the level of university and secondary schools students) to improvetheir knowledge of European integration.
The projects will include following steps: First, an analysis of the evolution of changes in the implementation of the objectives of the European Green Deal in the face of Covid-19;Secondly, transferring knowledge in the context of the above-mentioned change of reality on how to respond to the growing threats to humanity "here and now", taking into account the criterion of the need to preserve timelessness, without diminishing the ability of future generations to fulfill their own aspirations, while respecting the fulfillment of the obligation to the needs of all ecosystems.The project coordinator is dr hab. Katarzyna Stachurska-Szczesiak, assistant professor at the Department of International Relations, head of CDE UMCS, Team Europe expert.Project implementation: February-June 2021.
