The curriculum of the Doctoral (Ph.D.) Program in Political Science (in English) consists of several modules:
MODULE: THEORY AND METHODOLOGY IN POLITICAL SCIENCE (core cources)
Module allows Ph.D. Candidates to explore theoretical aspects as well as research methodology of Political Sciences necessary for individual designing and conducting research projects as well as teaching on university level. Module consists of 4 core courses:
MODULE: ADVANCED TOPICS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE (elective courses )
Module introduces Ph.D. Candidates to various aspects of political process on national and supranational level, Module offers elective courses allowing students to select topics important for their doctoral research projects as well follow their particular academic interests. The following courses will be offered (list might evolve as new courses will be added and visiting professors will be joining the faculty):
MODULE: Ph.D. SEMINAR
Students attend Ph.D. seminar, work on their doctoral research and prepare doctoral thesis during 4 years (8 semesters) of the program under supervision of academic advisor. More info HERE
MODULE: PROFESSIONAL SKILLS WORKSHOPS
Module offers 10 one-day workshops allowing Ph.D. Candidates to develop various professional skills and competencies necessary for research and teaching on university level as well as discuss social and ethical issues important in academic work.
MODULE: FOREIGN LANGUAGES
During the program Ph.D. Candidates are required to take 60 hrs. of foreign language courses.
MODULE: INTERNSHIP
Ph.D. Candidates teach or co-teach classes in Political Science or International Relations programs (undergraduate or master’s level); number of teaching hours is established individually for each student.
MODULE for students who are graduates of master’s program in fields outside humanities and social sciences
Ph.D. Candidates who are graduates of undergraduate or master’s programs in fields outside humanities and social sciences will be obliged to take the following courses during the first 4 semesters of the PhD Program in Political Science (in English):
