Natalia Kutyrieva-Nowak - PhD student at the Doctoral School of Quantitative and Natural Sciences

PhD student at the Doctoral School of Quantitative and Natural Sciences at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. She is writing her thesis at the Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Dr Hab. Agata Leszczuk. Her thesis focuseson the analysis of arabinogalactan proteins as important components of the cell wall during fruit ripening.

She completed her Master's degree in Biotechnology, where she successfully defended her thesis on exopolymers and secondary metabolites of Fusarium spp. strains. She had a 2-month internship at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (Serbia). She was awarded the scholarship  under the program ‘UMCS Doctoral Schools – Your Success in Globalized World of Science’. She has published 6 articles in scientific journals and participated in numerous conferences. In her spare time, she is involved in science popularisation and organisational activities, serving as a member of the Doctoral School Council. In the future, she hopes to continue her career in science.
