Nana Akofyani is a PhD student in linguistics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, specializing in second/foreign language learning and intercultural communication She earned her Master's degree in Intercultural Communication in Education and the Workplace in 2023. Her academic work focuses on multilingualism and the impact of languages on cultural identity, with a particular focus on how language learning shapes intercultural interactions in diverse settings.
Nana’s research aims to uncover how language acquisition influences communication across cultures and fosters greater understanding between individuals of different backgrounds. She is especially interested in the role of language as a bridge for connecting people in multicultural societies and workplaces.
Beyond her research, Nana is actively engaged in university life, serving as a member of the Doctoral students’ self-government. In this role, she represents her peers and international students and contributes in creating a supportive and enriching academic environment.
