Marta Cyran - PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities and Arts

Marta Cyran (publishes as Marta Stasiak-Cyran) - coordinator at the Archaeology Section of the Department of Material and Spiritual Culture of the National Museum in Lublin, PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities and Arts of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where, under the supervision of Dr Hab. Barbara Niezabitowska-Wiśniewska, prof. UMCS, she is working on the topic entitled Western Lublin Region in the Roman and Migration Periods - Cultural Changes.

A graduate of archaeology at UMCS and Postgraduate Studies in Museology at the Jagiellonian University. She began her professional career in the Lublin conservation services. She specializes in research on Roman settlements in the Lublin region. She has conducted excavations at several archaeological sites, including settlements from the first centuries of CE in Nieszawa Kolonia, which culminated in the publication of a monograph. Her special interest is in interdisciplinary research on archaeological sources, which she expresses in her published articles. She has co-created several archaeological exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She has been a coordinator of national and international research projects several times.
