Izabela Pastuszko - director of the Academic Centre for Culture and Media UMCS Chatka Żaka

A lawyer and art historian. A graduate of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the University of Warsaw. She graduated with distinction from postgraduate studies for culture managers at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Director of the UMCS Chatka Żaka Academic Center for Culture and Media, a centre that has been operating for almost 60 years.

Organizer of the Lublin Days of Modernism Festival. Author of the monograph entitled Architecture of the University District in Lublin (2013).

Her research interests include post-war architecture and urban planning, as well as socio-political factors related to design activities in the period of late modernism.

Originator and producer of the spectacle entitled Elements of Life – a play about the life of Maria Curie-Skłodowska, showing the multidimensionality and complexity of the personality of the Polish Nobel Prize winner.
