In response to the long-standing expectations of the Lublin community and the Lublin province, we invite scientists and the creative community to intensify their efforts toward establishing an "exploratorium." Building on more than twenty-year history of the Lublin Science Festival and the "Senses and Emotions" exhibition, which was held at the Center for the Meeting of Cultures as part of the European Youth Capital 2023 initiative, we aim to create infrastructure that will provide opportunities for direct engagement with science and the joy of uncovering its mysteries.
The exploratorium, tentatively named "CURIEosity," is envisioned as a space dedicated to nurturing the cognitive curiosity of young people. It will also serve as a tribute to the renowned scientist Maria Curie-Skłodowska, the patron of one of Lublin’s universities, whose family has historical ties to the region.
