Concerning didactic classes in summer semester
Of 2020/2021 academic year
1. Acting in accordance with Rector’s Ordinance of January 25, 2021 on organising didactic classes in summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year I inform the didactic classes in summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year will begin on 25 February 2021 and will be conducted online via UMCS Virtual Campus or Microsoft Teams app. If any exceptional circumstances occur, an other mean is allowed, however, its usage must by approved by the Deputy Rector of student affairs and quality of education. If need be, a motion must be submitted to the Dean. Moreover, work e-mail or USOS system are allowed as additional means of communication with the students.
2. In exceptional circumstances, after the Dean’s approval, classes may be conducted in a stationary form. It is, however, allowed specific classes, during which specialist hardware or software must be used. The classes mentioned above may be conducted in groups smaller than set in art. 5 of UMCS work regulations after the approval of the Deputy Rector of student affairs and quality of education. Such motion is based on safety measures (required distance in lecture rooms must be maintained). The motion is to be submitted to the Dean who also sets the costs of suggested changes. Conduction of stationary classes is also sanctioned by the condition for students to submit a statement (attachment to Rector’s Ordinance no. 2/2021).
3. Bearing in mind the current epidemic situation and its further course during the summer semester I also inform there may be some changes applied to the rules of procedure in terms of conducting stationary classes at UMCS Faculty of Political Science and Journalism.
