He studiedlaw at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin, from which he graduated with honours in 1991. As a fifth-year student, he became the laureate of the National Nicolas Copernicus Primus Inter Pares contest, having been ranked among the best students of all faculties of Polish universities. Previously, he had also graduated from the piano department of a first level music school.
Since October 1, 1991, he has been working at the Institute of Theory of State and Law (currently, the Chair of Theory and Philosophy of Law).
He was awarded a PhD degree in 1999.
In 1995, he completed a legal counsellor apprenticeship and passed the bar exam to be registered on the list of legal counsellors.
Since October, 2000, he has been the Coordinator of the University Students‘ Legal Counselling Service at the Faculty of Law and Administartion at Maria Curie Skłodowska University (currently, the Associate Dean for the University Students‘ Legal Counselling Service at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie Skłodowska University).
He participated in numerous academic conferences, where he also delivered his own papers. He is also the author of a number of academic works in the field of the theory and philosophy of law, including the axiology of law.
He lectures the following courses: the Introduction to jurisprudence, the Outline of theory and philosophy of law, the Science of State and politics, the Theory of State, and the University Students‘ Legal Counselling Service.
