Karolina Podgórska, PhD, currently works as an assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology (Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland). She is a researcher and lecturer, specialized in migration topic. She is a supervisor of master degree studies “Migration and Mobility” as well as a head of the unit research team "Migration processes in a local perspective". Because of her educational background she mixes the social and political science approaches. She is researcher in national and international projects founded by i.a. the Education System Development Foundation, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, National Science Centre in Poland and European Commission. Since 2017 she collaborates with Centre of Migration Research at the University of Warsaw: since 2022 as a part of the Laboratory of Urban and Regional Migration Policies in CMR. She is member of the International Migration Research Network (IMISCOE) and Polish Sociological Association (PTS).
