Working in the Optical Fiber Technology Laboratory I deal with:- Designing and modifying the evaporator for the consolidation of polymer preforms,- Modification of the furnace for drawing polymer fibers,- Development of a method of milling and milling of structural quartz preforms,- Development of a manufacturing method and fabrication of polymer structural preforms,- MCVD machine modification,- Development of a method of making polygonal and shaped quartz preforms,- Design and construction of a preform feeder in a quartz optical fiber winch.
