Personal information

Academic Teacher at Applied Linguistics

Head of the Audiovisual Translation Science Club at Applied Linguistics

In the years 2018-2021 I organized three editions of the course "Audiovisual Translation and Adaptation" at UMCS, which were financed by the Polish government and the EU

I am responsible for student practice in audiovisual translation. Since I believe in learning by doing, my students have an opportunity to develop the skills they learn in class through participating in film festivals and cultural events. We cooperate or cooperated with the Summer Film Academy in Zwierzyniec, the International Fantastic Film Festival Splat!FilmFest, the Lublin Film Festival, the Women's Film Festival "Demakijaż", and others. We also translate computer games as a part of student translation practice. So far we have rendered the following games into Polish - Fallout 1.5: Resurrection, Fallout of Nevada, Atom RPG, Brassheart, Olympus 2207, The Age of Decadence. We have also translated board games - Hard City from Polish into German and Spanish, Star Scrappers: Orbital from English into Polish, Uluk into German and French.
