The fundamental goal of my studies is development and characterization of new catalysts and functional materials for environmental friendly processes, such as carbon dioxide methanation, hydrogen production by the steam reforming of methanol and bioethanol, conversion of hydrocarbons, oxidation of CO and hydrocarbons, determination of relationship between structural, surface, redox and catalytic properties of metal and metal oxide catalysts by the application of temperature-programmed methods (TPR, TPD, TPO) and in-situ FT-IR spectroscopic techniques (DRIFTS).
