Ilona Biernacka-Ligieza is a professor of humanities and she works at the Faculty of Political Studies, University of Marie Curie Sklodowska in Lublin and Department of Political Studies University of Opole. From September 2008 she has been the research fellow of the Institute of Media and Communication, University of Oslo. Her research interests include: local media; mass communication; new media; cross-cultural communication; journalism studies; local democracy; globalization; glocalization; media and politics; media and identity.
