Professional experience gained abroad:

1989/1990 (September 1989 - August 1990) Institute of Chemistry of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest, "Controlled surface reactions of SnEt4 with VIII group metals supported on different metal oxides and carbon", one-year research internship in the team of prof. Josef Margitfalvi.

1992 (March-July) Ecole National Superieure de Chimie de Lille, France, "Investigations of hydrocarbons conversion over tungsten catalysts", four-month research internship in the team of prof. Ginette Leclercq.

Reviews of 31 Ph.D. Thesis and 18 applications for the professor position made at the request of the authorities of Pakistani universities (Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, University of Punjab, Sargodha University, Government College University Faisalabad, Kohat University of Science and Technology, Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, University of Balochistan Quetta).

Born at February 24th, 1959. Graduated from the secondary school with the final exam (1978, Elblag). Graduated from Nicholas Copernicus University in Torun (Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry – 1983). Ph.D. thesis under supervision of professor J. Barcicki (University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska – 1992). D.Sc. (habilitation) in 2004 (University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska). Scientific title of professor (2014).

The author and co-author of  169 published scientific articles, 316 announcements and presentations as well as about 340 different forms of scientific activity (e.g. a referee of scientific articles, PhD and DSc thesis, applications for the professor position and scientific professor title as well as national and international lectures).

Faculty representative in European Chemistry Thematic Network Association (ECTNA). Eurobachelor and Euromaster Label Committee Member (2006-2008 and 2008-2010). Since 2014 this Team advisor.

The scientific interest is focused on the preparation of supported mono- and bimetallic catalysts, application of infrared spectroscopy (including photoacoustics) for characterization of adsorbents, catalysts and solids.

Married, three children. Wife - Beata, is a biology teacher in XIV vocationally-oriented secondary school as well as a main expert for the teachers' training in the Department of Education at the Lublin Municipal Council.

Daughter - Marta graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (graphic arts) 

                as well as at Catholic University of Lublin (history of art; Doctor 2019).
Daughter – Aleksandra (M.Sc. architecture engineer) graduated from Lublin University of Technology.
Son – Aleksander intern doctor, graduated from Lublin Medical University.
Granddaughter - Natalia (14 years).
