My research interests:

  • structural and electronic properties of low-dimensional systems,
  • quantum phenomena in nanostructures (diffusion, self-organization of atoms, quantum size effect, magnetism, spin-orbit interaction, charge and spin transport, thermoelectric properties, ...),
  • novel materials (silicene, graphene, topological insulators, metallic structures on vicinal Si surfaces, ...),
  • molecules on surfaces.
