Scientific Interests

My research interests focus on the role of innovation in regional economic development. I am especially interested in exploring the determinants shaping the technological convergence across the European regions with a particular emphasis on the impact of public financial support on that process. In addition, I am interested in indicating the design and implementation principles of regional smart development strategies.
