The Voice of Science is a podcast series designed to popularize various fields of knowledge. Across six episodes, scientists from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin—renowned for their discoveries and achievements both in Poland and internationally—will present their research in an engaging and accessible manner. The guest of the premiere episode is prof. Katarzyna Marzęda-Młynarska. She will discuss her research on food security, one of the most pressing global challenges of our time.
Photo: Michał Piłat Prof. Katarzyna Marzęda-Młynarska is Head of the Department of International Security and Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Her research interests include global governance, migration processes, Poland's foreign policy, globalization processes and food security. She is a member of the Polish International Studies Association and the Polish Political Science Association. She is also an author of numerous articles and scientific publications on international relations and food security. Privately, she enjoys growing walnuts. The series of podcasts is a part of the project "The Power of Relations: działania na rzecz wzmocnienia potencjału UMCS w zakresie obsługi studentów z zagranicy" based on the agreement no. BNP/WTP/2023/1/00023/U/00001 between Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
