XXIII Nuclear Physics Workshop “Marie & Pierre Curie” - 27.09 - 2.10.2016

We are pleased to announce the XXIII Nuclear Physics Workshop „Maria and Pierre Curie” organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin in collaboration with Department of Theoretical Physics, National Centre for Nuclear Research in Świerk.

This annual conference is devoted mainly to the theoretical achievements in low-energy nuclear physics. The general subject of the Workshop is: „Essential Problems in Nuclear Physics”

  • Large-scale collective nuclear motion
  • Nuclei far from stability
  • Nuclear models
  • Symmetries in nuclei
  • Nuclear structure
  • Novel nuclear excitations
  • Gamma spectroscopy

This year we plan to dedicate the special session to memory of prof. Janusz Wilczynski who passed away last October.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS:

The proceedings of the Workshop will be published in Acta Physica Polonica B – Proceedings Supplement. Both the oral and poster presentations will be published.

CONFERENCE LOCATION:

The conference centre is the „Dom Pracy Tworczej SDP” hotel in Kazimierz Dolny, the historical, very picturesque old town upon the Vistula river, around 120 km south of Warsaw and 50 km west of Lublin.
