I am a graduate of Physics at UMCS (1996), after graduation I worked as an assistant at the Laboratory of Nuclear Medicine of the Provincial Hospital in Lublin (1996-1999), then I was an assistant at the Department of Physics of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (1999-2002), I made my PhD in physical sciences / biophysics at DF UMCS (2002), habilitation in physical sciences at DF UMK in Toruń (2008), from 2011 I work at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at UMCS, I obtained a professorship in biological sciences at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at UMCS (2014).
Currently, I am the Head of the Department of Cell Biology at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. My research interests are mainly related to the application of spectroscopy and microscopy methods in the study of the molecular organization of biologically active compounds in model biological systems.
I am the creator of many international inventions (confirmed by patent applications and granted patents) and I have experience in implementing technologies in industry.
My scientific achievements include over 120 scientific and popular science publications, of which nearly 90 publications have been published in English on the so-called Philadelphia List. Index H = 22, number of citations approx. 1250.
Currently, I am managing and managing many research projects, including one from the National Science Center, four acquired from foreign organizations. I am also a laureate of the prestigious EMBO (European Molecular Biology Organization) competition, the project was carried out in 2004. year at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Trento, Italy.
I am a science promoter at the Children's University (UMCS and Unikids) and numerous Science Festivals in Lublin, for which I was awarded in 2011. of the year with the award of the Polish Press Agency.
I am an active member of three scientific societies (Polish Biophysical Society, Polish Physical Society and Polish Agrophysical Society). I am also an honorary member of the Association of Polish Beekeepers "Polanka" and a member of the Polish Beekeeping Association (PZP).
I also have extensive experience in cooperation with the business community.
Apart from research and teaching, my passion is beekeeping.
