• employment of graduates - measured by the number of university graduates who held managerial positions in leading global companies about the size of the university (25%);
• faculty quality - measured by the number of research workers who obtained significant academic distinctions (10%);
• findings:
  • research results - measured by the total number of scientific articles (10%),
  • high-quality publications - measured by the number of scientific articles published in top-ranking journals (10%),
  • impact - measured by the number of scientific articles appearing in highly influential journals (10%),
  • citations - measured by the number of highly cited scientific articles (10%)

The top ten of this year's ranking included: Harvard University (USA), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Stanford University (USA), University of Cambridge (UK), University of Oxford (UK), Princeton University (USA), Columbia University (USA), University of Chicago (USA), University of Pennsylvania (USA), Yale University (USA).
