The Centre for Education and Study Service invites people conducting classes to participate in training courses on working with students, including students with disabilities.

Training No. 4

How to adjust the education process for a student with an autism spectrum? From recruitment to completion.

Deadline: 25th May 2021, at 10am -12.15pm

Time - 3 teaching hours

Place: UMCS Virtual Campus

The training aims to provide knowledge about the needs of autism spectrum students and possible adjustments in the education cycle. During the meeting, based on a case study, we will work out possible solutions that are convenient for students with the autism spectrum and are acceptable for academic teachers and administrative staff.

Workshop participants will improve their skills in planning and organizing education for a student with an autism spectrum.

Several participants: 20 people. The order of applications counts. Last vacancies!

Registration for the workshop takes place via the application form and is open until 23rd May 2021. Detailed information on the organization of the training will be provided by e-mail on 24th May 2021.

Trainer: Anna Prokopiak, PhD in humanities

Assistant professor at the Department of Special Psychopedagogy and Special Sociopedagogy of the Pedagogy Institute of Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin, special educator, certified teacher, certified therapist of ESDM, STAT, SACS, ADOS methods; co-founder and president of the board of the Alpha Foundation in Lublin, which deals with the diagnosis, therapy and support of the community of people with the autism spectrum.

Training No. 5

Areas of didactic support for students with visual disabilities

Date: 9th June 2021 at 10:00am -12.15pm

Time - 3 teaching hours

Place: UMCS Virtual Campus

Training objectives:

  • familiarizing participants with the essence of visual impairment and people with them,
  • showing the specificity of the education process and methods of educational support for students with visual impairments,
  • raising participants' awareness of visual impairment and those affected by it through experience, understanding and reflection,
  • showing the specificity of the education process and methods of educational support for students with visual impairments.

The number of participants: 20 people. The order of applications counts. Last vacancies!

Trainer: dr Dorota Chimicz

Assistant professor at the Department of Special Psychopedagogy and Special Sociopedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, typhlo-pedagogue, oligophrenopedagogue, academic teacher, experienced therapist and teacher of children and youth with disabilities, school tutor. Scientific interests oscillate around psycho-pedagogical and socio-pedagogical aspects of determinants, organization, course and effectiveness of education and rehabilitation of people with disabilities in inclusive education, the concept of universal design for education, the use of technologies supporting students with disabilities in inclusive education.

After participating in the training/training, interested participants will take advantage of individual consultations arranged directly with the teachers.
