Theatre studies is a new programme developed jointly by the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. It is an innovative, interdisciplinary specialization which gives students a unique opportunity to simultaneously develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Workshops will be run by faculty members and staff who have worked as practicing theatre artists. The integration of theory and practice is fundamental to the programme. In addition to theoretical classes on general history and history of theatre the study programme expands its offer with practical training including: Stage Technology Techniques, Cultural Management, Acting/Directing, New Circus and Outdoor Performance.
The programme offers: 3 years of specialization, 390 hours of theatre studies and 180 hours of practical classes!
Doors Open Day will take place on 11th October at 14.00 in the Opera Hall at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. Visitors will have an opportunity to take a tour through the new modern building of the Centre as well as to attend individual meetings with the practicing theatre staff.
